We are actually having a spring here in Northern California this year. Sometimes we have a two season climate.... winter to summer and back to winter. What spring we have begins in February when our daffodils bloom and blossoms are seen on the almonds, peaches and plums. Diane has created this wonderful Mood Board for this challenge. I send a lot of Birthday cards to friends. It is my way of reminding them that I am thinking about them. I had not stenciled for awhile so I pulled out some of my stencils and made several backgrounds that I can use. Hey, when your fingers are inky you may as well keep going. When I get a die I like, I tend to use it frequently. On this card I used three of my very favorite dies. <a href="Poppy Stamps Posh birthday Mail" target="_blank">Impression Obsession Large Frame</a>, <a href="https://www.diesrus.com/products/memory-box-dies-birthday-mail-posh-script?_pos=1&_sid=8273ccfa0&_ss=r" target="_blank">Poppy Stamps Posh Birthday Mail</a>, and <span style="color: #0000ee; text-align: center; text-decoration-line: underline;">Memory Box Layered Fresh Flowers. </span></span></p><p><br /></p><p> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-djyc-WKpQZs6DC8i7bM6MBMe8rMEpX5Tr6sFP1Ys4gTGT59Zqm12xKL_l6xma01rxFFOOsBgr-SdXh2orpF9ak_wITbO7KrL3uExMBZXhZESWEyzbujBEMwsaE-NbGz7t6Pc8-eJ8YFt5CAV8gFt_QGfWyTI5w2mYZZLMJ28woQ_NRdGytk1nVHhBg/s418/P3280035.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="331" data-original-width="418" height="416" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-djyc-WKpQZs6DC8i7bM6MBMe8rMEpX5Tr6sFP1Ys4gTGT59Zqm12xKL_l6xma01rxFFOOsBgr-SdXh2orpF9ak_wITbO7KrL3uExMBZXhZESWEyzbujBEMwsaE-NbGz7t6Pc8-eJ8YFt5CAV8gFt_QGfWyTI5w2mYZZLMJ28woQ_NRdGytk1nVHhBg/w526-h416/P3280035.JPG" width="526" /></a></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">I purchased the leaves when DRU had a special sale on European Dies. Then I remembered I had a paper pack with some beach front buildings so I decided to frame one of them. As you can see ther are different types of buildings in this fun beach paper. </span></p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDIdylFWQribtLmpWj1Rclv6cJB6n7wGjqEDycnhnBpMllA8VLfTfmD6VpJD2LJBSdUGyBHy9rRwhYnqTU1zV_8JZ1V8Bxk_gFfeLu50k33shcFVuCh1HD_6Kckh26-EouAe97qk8OXycS4u0Qcrtx9hROq3UcY_avAa10cDwOcfw3u0RR30RFybg7GQ/s415/P3280010.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="415" data-original-width="380" height="534" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDIdylFWQribtLmpWj1Rclv6cJB6n7wGjqEDycnhnBpMllA8VLfTfmD6VpJD2LJBSdUGyBHy9rRwhYnqTU1zV_8JZ1V8Bxk_gFfeLu50k33shcFVuCh1HD_6Kckh26-EouAe97qk8OXycS4u0Qcrtx9hROq3UcY_avAa10cDwOcfw3u0RR30RFybg7GQ/w489-h534/P3280010.JPG" width="489" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">I added a flower, some greenery and a sentiment to the card. I am sure everyone has Easter memories. For me Easter revolves pleasant memories. When I was young it was Easter egg hunts, the Easter bunny and an Easter basket filled with candy. As I matured, I remember sunrise service in the park, Easter cantatas, new outfits from head to toe including an Easter bonnet(which shows my age). Now I look at Easter as a time to rejoice that God sent his Son to pay for my sins and I am forever free to worship and praise Him. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">For this challenge Diane has chosen a fun Mood Board. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijuUjc1NFphGHrshq2AWxAQEoFNF8lhZM9x0OJwV8NUn_XFN0ep2R0an_ex7ePDwoUYstki3dMLlOhs94mbDMKJ2vB2YUNIU6EWYG55afxqoe6SMJNslcfjzn5BjJ26czhPQgcvZUtk7o/s1590/DD+easter+mood+board.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1590" data-original-width="1060" height="544" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijuUjc1NFphGHrshq2AWxAQEoFNF8lhZM9x0OJwV8NUn_XFN0ep2R0an_ex7ePDwoUYstki3dMLlOhs94mbDMKJ2vB2YUNIU6EWYG55afxqoe6SMJNslcfjzn5BjJ26czhPQgcvZUtk7o/w363-h544/DD+easter+mood+board.jpg" width="363" /></a></div><p> <span style="font-size: x-large; text-align: center;">I had some tulip die cuts from the Greetery that a friend sent me to try out. I added a Creative Expressions Thinking of you sentiment for the finished card.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">We hope you join us for this challenge at </span><a href="https://daranddiane.blogspot.com/" style="font-size: x-large;" target="_blank">Double D Challenge Blog</a>. <span style="font-size: large;">If you do, you will hafe the chance to win this darling stamp set from Lawn Fawn and an Easter card to send to a special person in your life. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguE2QGUII6TKCcM8VhKKYWGwbszDY7nwxcg8W5Plxb2ZRysuTe_B5Eekrdu5u15kJmuvLRGrgeKdMRAkRn_jkKAOO5xw7M7CT4pUbEEqs1vI3zWAu9C4cpao0RKcaDHfoMHKYvpzWRSOY/s1950/cards+DD+easter+prize.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1950" data-original-width="1338" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguE2QGUII6TKCcM8VhKKYWGwbszDY7nwxcg8W5Plxb2ZRysuTe_B5Eekrdu5u15kJmuvLRGrgeKdMRAkRn_jkKAOO5xw7M7CT4pUbEEqs1vI3zWAu9C4cpao0RKcaDHfoMHKYvpzWRSOY/w275-h400/cards+DD+easter+prize.JPG" width="275" /></a></div><br /><p></p>Kathy Krughttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00652397835741611426noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-475524386831758495.post-10390189061133134862022-04-03T00:00:00.048-07:002022-04-03T00:35:23.698-07:00Peace on Earth Challenge 13<p> </p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Another fun Mood Board from team leader Diane at <a href="https://peaceonearthchristmas.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Peace on Earth Challenge Blog</a>. Our theme this month at <a href="Tutti Design Rose Frame Impression Obsession Hydrangea Creative Expressions Thinking of You" target="_blank">Dies R Us Challenge Blog</a> is spring flowers. I received a birthday card using this pretty IO hydrangea die and I was reminded that I have the die but have not used it in quite some time. The flower I got was pink so I made mine blue. I have blue, pink, and white hydrangeas that are leafed out but not blooming yet. I can't wait. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihIc-TvQLDslHEatuO6ktJpfil95qTGWwYj5e3Ytyym3pTV_zLeGs1Xph295kIGiNoqqoKpEZrKY4v4rwWHiPtVfHX8jWO089XpUZ0YKCAa7zEj18nLlPiopVmnYWYKGrNZdbsb6sVkgenAq0rmfx2YnoRlLe8G6FNHZa6pcDW1iTtRFH6PhWX-Xn8DQ/s461/P3190007.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="461" data-original-width="357" height="459" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihIc-TvQLDslHEatuO6ktJpfil95qTGWwYj5e3Ytyym3pTV_zLeGs1Xph295kIGiNoqqoKpEZrKY4v4rwWHiPtVfHX8jWO089XpUZ0YKCAa7zEj18nLlPiopVmnYWYKGrNZdbsb6sVkgenAq0rmfx2YnoRlLe8G6FNHZa6pcDW1iTtRFH6PhWX-Xn8DQ/w356-h459/P3190007.JPG" width="356" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">I started with this Tutti Rose frame. I sponged the center of the die and inlaid it in the frame and put that on a blue card base. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjEydU16_JX4acgBY4aul9jVfpAHUai5X5NKFY9IeSz0J1TSwIvG4K0NjckMuLiyYJTAzn2155EHo1kJ4XAWmOiRBHlxyvVSndEnxUWiuWBqrXd1zOPZkU3YQ7Z3NVmzpxfnm7ESwSLwJdytPYP3p1QoRI1mjKD3Ba4Rk1vUHH1LaR9Y7TN7m6z-kYczw" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="350" data-original-width="291" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjEydU16_JX4acgBY4aul9jVfpAHUai5X5NKFY9IeSz0J1TSwIvG4K0NjckMuLiyYJTAzn2155EHo1kJ4XAWmOiRBHlxyvVSndEnxUWiuWBqrXd1zOPZkU3YQ7Z3NVmzpxfnm7ESwSLwJdytPYP3p1QoRI1mjKD3Ba4Rk1vUHH1LaR9Y7TN7m6z-kYczw" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Next, I cut the parts of the hydrangea. You have to cut the flower petals several times, and glue them on separately, which is time consuming, but not hard. I cut them from blue and sponged the edges a bit. Add the stem and some leaves for a finished flower. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEikMaLrrKjo9dIy-nR3c2bGCCIV90W0f8KaWsgwElLSPUrWZXp-y2VaIw7yDrryBj6KR0MrLrs0RiXuiGHPF8v8tBzrwT-l04V4XTsJNhYoLbIeC0uAlub8OPW_4j9uFQbmad6F8tPxKXGZiDug6tfRYWwlO9zb12dJyeiX5e1affYYXuuVmLuhWb3zAg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="350" data-original-width="207" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEikMaLrrKjo9dIy-nR3c2bGCCIV90W0f8KaWsgwElLSPUrWZXp-y2VaIw7yDrryBj6KR0MrLrs0RiXuiGHPF8v8tBzrwT-l04V4XTsJNhYoLbIeC0uAlub8OPW_4j9uFQbmad6F8tPxKXGZiDug6tfRYWwlO9zb12dJyeiX5e1affYYXuuVmLuhWb3zAg" width="142" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><span style="font-size: large;">A thinking of you from Creative Expressions and a bow finished the design. </span></div><div><br /><p></p><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.diesrus.com/products/tutti-designs-dies-rose-frame?_pos=1&_sid=777deabc1&_ss=r" target="_blank">Tutti Design Rose Frame</a><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.diesrus.com/search?q=Impression+Obsession+hydrangeia" target="_blank">Impression Obsession Hydrangea</a><br /></div> <a href="https://www.diesrus.com/collections/creative-expressions" target="_blank">Creative Expressions Thinking of You</a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><span style="font-size: large;">We hope you will join us for this challenge at </span><a href="Tutti Design Rose Frame Impression Obsession Hydrangea Creative Expressions Thinking of You" style="font-size: x-large; text-align: center;" target="_blank">Dies R Us Challenge Blog</a></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><br /></div></div>Kathy Krughttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00652397835741611426noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-475524386831758495.post-87490032021564122182022-03-20T00:00:00.083-07:002022-03-20T00:00:13.807-07:00Peace on Earth Challenge 12<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">Don't you love the the mood board for this challenge at <a href="https://peaceonearthchristmas.blogspot." target="_blank">Peace on Earth Challenge Blog</a>. I still had one simple valentine that I had not shared so since it is Anything Goes..... Actually, why couldn't this be a card for any time of the year. The sentiment applies.... right? Isn't red a primary color and white a basic card base? Are we stuck in a rut that hearts are always valentines and holly and pine pine boughs and pine cones only for Christmas? YES,for the most part we are.
