I made this CAS card for Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday challenge Less=More. http://flourishes.org/category/timeless-tuesday/. You had to use a stamped image with no coloring. I stamped the cherry blossom in Versa Mark on pink paper and embossed it in white embossing powder. This Flourish stamp has such amazing detail that it does not need to be colored. I used one of my favorite sentiments from Gina K Designs "Moments" mounted it on a white card base and added a Martha Stewart butterfly. My mother asked me to make birthday cards for her Mother's Day gift so I created a birthday verse that echos the sentiment and placed it on the inside the card.
When I think of spring a picture of strawberries overwhelms all my senses. My husband just brought my first basket this week. Yum!!! This image is a free digital from Becca's Place. I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut it. The dotted paper is a freebie from Gina K Designs and the border is Spellbinders zig zag. I will enter it in the the Mod Squad's latest challenge. http://modsquadchallenge.blogspot.com/ and in Becca's February challenge.http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/02/february-challenge.html.
This card will be entered into Donna's Shabby Chic Challenge (I am still learning how to create shabby chic, but i did my best) at Stamp TV and Cat's Mod Squad Challenge Go for the Gold. http://modsquadchallenge.blogspot.com/ The gold is in the lantern and a few sprigs that are tucked into the dogwoods. The lantern is a Marianne design and the fern and leaves are Spellbinder dies. All the stamps were Gina K Designs. Theresa Momber illustrated "Dogwood and Butterflies" and the sentiment is from Tami Mayberry's "Dreams". The paper is from Heartfelt Creations Sunny Day Collection.
I made this card using the stamp set "Pears" from Flourishes for the Timeless Tuesday Challenge, A Lotta Polka Dots. You can find the challenge here: http://flourishes.org/category/timeless-tuesday/. I used Spellbinders Label Eight Gold dies and a Gina K Designs freebie paper which I printed on craft paper. The humming bird is from Cheery Lynn.
I made these cards for challenges before I figured out how to load pictures onto my blog and link them up with the challenge web cites. Who says you can't teach an old dog
new tricks? I made this clock for Stamp TV guest designer challenge to create a card that was neither a square or rectangle. The fan, lily, wagon and dove were all for Mod Squad challenges. The lily is a CASE of a design by Melanie Muenchinger and the dove is a CASE of a design by Theresa Momber.
The challenge at Mod Squad this week was to create a card using a flower. With so much of the nation being deluged with snow and cold, I thought of spring, and when I think of spring I think of daffodils. For my flower I chose a daffodil illustrated by Theresa Momber for Gina K Designs. I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. I am still learning about shading and high lights but it is fun. You can find the challenge for Mod Squad here http://modsquadchallenge.blogspot.com
This card is for the Flourishes Challenge to use wood. I stamped the pears in the middle of a wood frame and colored them with Spectrum markers. The frame is mounted on wooden embossed dark green. You can find the challenge at
I created this card for two challenges Lee's Mod Squad Challenge was to use a
least one heart and some glitter. The white heart is from a glitter
stack. I used a Martha Stewart punch and the greeting is from Theresa
Momber's Elegant Florals and the dp is from Graphic 45. You can see all the
fabulous entries for this challenge
at http://modsquadchallenge.blogspot.com/ . I am also going to enter it in
the Flourishes challenge to use Love and Red
Have a wonderful crafting day.
