Double D Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

There is something so magical about taking a walk on a snowy day or seeing the moon cast its light and shadows on new fallen snow.  I don't see much of that here in California, but as a native Pennsylvanian I am familiar with snow.... lots of snow. For our new challenge at Double D Challenge Blog, Darlene created this fun mood board for us with lots of inspiration.

I liked all the the pictures so I combined the snow globe, the snowman, and the touches of red in three of the pictures.

I used several dies from Impression Obsession. to make this shaker card. The snow globe, the trees.sentiment, and bells are IO. A Memory Box snowflake backed by a Poppy Stamp pine sprig and a Frantic Stamper snowman.

Join us for this last challenge of 2018 at Double D Challenge Blog and you have a chance to win this fun snowflake die.

The next challenge we will be celebrating our THIRD year as a blog. You will want to join us for the January challenges because there will be extra prizes and blog candy up for grabs.

Dies R Us Anything Christmas

How is this for a Clean and Simple card?  I made the flowers using Sue Wilson's Festive Poinsettia Garland. I did some sponging on red card stock, shaped them and glued two of the flowers together and filled the center with prills. Then I placed them on the Memory Box Poinsettia Band and put some Nuvo Drops on the berries of the die.   I embossed a piece of white card with  a Crafter's Companion 3D embosiing folder and put the whole thing on a red card stock base. A sentiment from Elizabeth Crafts finished the design.

Double D Run Rudolph

It is a good thing Rudolph likes snow because there is a lot of snow on this Mood Board from Double D Challenge Blog.  This time Diane has challenged us to use a deer on our card.

I went for the cold snowy look. I forget where I got this die, but I think it is Penny Black.  I used distress ink for the background and liberally splattered glue mixed with water and covered it with glitter to get that snowy look. The sentiment is from PTI.  The frame is from Impression Obsession.

We hope you will share your deer creations with us.at  Double D Challenge Blog. One randomly chosen entry will win this cute deer die.

Dies R Us Snowflakes

Where did November go?  Here it is the first of December and time for another challenge at  Dies R Us Challenge Blog.   The challenge is to use a snowflake somewhere on your card or project.  I used the Memory Box oval snowflake and a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder for my card. I love the Frantic Stamper Sweet Holly die. I cut it out in white and also in pink glitter paper. The die makes it easy to paper piece the different parts.

Here are the dies I used for this project.  You can find them at the Dies R Us Store
