Dies R Us Flowers

April has ended and so have many of the showers so now it is time to enjoy the spring flowers at DIES R US CHALLENGE BLOG.

I love making home made flowers and Elizabeth Crafts Designs has so many beautiful ones.  I started with the pitcher and cut it from some pretty designer paper I have. I looked through the flowers I have made while I watched old Hallmark movies with my husband and decided to use some lilacs and dog wood to fill the pitcher.

I don't need to describe how I put this card together because a picture is worth a thousand words but if you are interested in any of the dies I used I have them listed here with links back to the Dies R Us Store

Double D Kentucky Derby Hat Inspiration

Kentucky Derby Hat Inspiration
Be inspired by what you see on these hats,
maybe it's the colors, flowers even the horse...
look closely there is plenty...
does NOT have to be a hat!

I did not have a hat stamp or die so I thought I had to take inspiration from what was on the hats.... that is until I saw how clever and creative my team mate Barb is.  She took dies she had and made her own hat.  As usual the team has some wonderful inspiration for you at Double D Challenge Blog.

Three of the pictures on the board have pink flowers on them so I started there.  I bought a rose stamp from Altenew several months ago.  I watched several  videos on this multi-layering stamp before I bought it because I have not had success with stamp layering in the past.  They made it look easy, and I am sure it was for them.  I can't tell you how many times I tried to get it lined up perfectly with no success. I decided to use the best one.   Even though it is not perfect it is the look I was going for on this card.

Go visit  Double D Challenge Blog to see all the fabulous inspiration from the team.  We hope you will play along.
