Double D Pink and White

WOW!!! We were blown away with how many of you linked up with us for our HEARTS challenge. It was so hard to pick favorites. You guys are awesome.

What fun retro pink and white images Dar found.

I kept my card pink and white with just a little green for accent.  I started with Tutti design rose frame that I cut twice once from pink and once from pink gingham. I inlaid the pink gingham and put some velum behind the whole piece. As I look at this picture I see that I got the sentiment off center. Not sure I can fix that without destroying the card so I will send it to one of my friends who drinks a lot. Just kidding!!!!

I used the following dies from DRU to create this card/

If you link up with us, you will have a chance to win this awesome die from IO.

In the Pink

The Impression Obsession challenge is  "In the Pink.
I think it is easy to see how this card was put together.  It did require cutting the heart die three times , but now I have enough pieces for other cards.

Dies R Us Birds and Bees

Time for another challenge  at Dies R Us  called  Birds and/or the Bees
which reminds of this song. "Let me tell ya bout the birds and the bees, and the flowers and the trees, and the moon up above, and this thing called love."   Now for those of you who are my age you probably know this song and you  will find yourself  humming this little ditty for the rest of the day. You're Welcome.!!!

I used pink card stock for the base of the card and the paper pack for all the decorative pieces. The paper pad is double sided and I cut it so I had two extra birds that I fussy cut and popped up on top of the original birds. I went to my stash of birthday sentiments stamps and used them for the message. I added a little lace a few hearts that come with the die, and a couple of dogwood flowers.

Here are the products from the Dies R Us Store that I used for my project.

Double D Hearts

It is all about Hearts at Double D Challenge Blog. I love this Mood Board that is full of whimsy, polka dots, pearls, lace, hearts and flowers. We are anxious to see what you create using the board's inspiration.

This is the card I created for this challenge.  I used the beige and white tones from the board and included the polka dots in the papers.  The heart die is from IO and the love sentiment  is PTI .  I stamped an IO cover a card rose stamp on white and used craft for the card base.

The fun thing about using positives and negatives is that I was able to create a second card from the left over materials.

The heart die is available at the DRU Store.

If you join us for this challenge, you could win this prize.

Head on over to Double D Challenge Blog and check out what the team has created, and then create you own heart design for the challenge.

Dies R Us Use the Color Red

A new challenge starts today at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. All you need to do is use the color red and use at least one die cut on your card.  I decided to try a CAS card for this challenge. The IO frames die adds texture to the card. I cut the Memory Box Wild flower corner. I was going to inlay some of the flower parts but I liked it just the way it was so I added the sentiment from Sue Wilson and a few hearts that came from a Cheery Lynn heart die.

The dies I used are available at the Dies R Store. Make sure you sign up for the news letter so you will be notified about special sales and special orders.
