Stretch on a Sketch

When I do a sketch challenge, I usually try to match it exactly, but this time I decided to take some liberties.   I used three feathers instead of fishtail dies and string instead of leaves and the border is at the top of the card instead of one third of the way down.  This card came together as I was cleaning out a box of scraps. When I first got the PTI feather stamp,I experimented with it and stamped and embossed it in different colors on various colors of card. The top border was scraps left over from a cover plate die. I just glued two of them together.  The white background was left over from a set of note cards I made for a friend(I always die cut a couple of extras in case I make a mistake). I did cut, emboss, and sponge the kraft layer and cut a kraft card base.

  4. Love that you keep your scraps and use them. I used to do that and then never used any, so I kinda gave up the practice. I could take a lesson from you - well, on almost everything related to card making...lol. I LOVE this card, I'm so partial to feathers, and have that PTI set. Love your colors and that zig zag border too. Awesome card!

  13. So very clever of you to use the feathers in this unusual way. I often get inspiration from the scraps on my desk. Great job on the sketch.
