Yvonne's Birthday

This is a card I made for my bff.  She loves flowers and gardening and has a lovely back yard so my theme is  GARDEN.  She came for dinner last night (my fabulous husband cooked her favorite meal)so I gave her the card. . Since I found everything  I needed in my scrap box,it only took half an hour to put this together. Just kidding.  I spent an obscene amount of time on this card. Hence, I have not had much time for challenges.  Since we are best friends, she sees most of my cards as I am working on them so I had to make sure she would not pop in and catch me making this, and I had to make it extra special.

.Box folded
I used one of the spellbinders 3D embossing folders for the outside of the box and sponged over it to make the embossing pop. I used a video tutorial for the dimensions.  I only used one layer, but it would be fun to do all three especially if you had pictures of a special event like a wedding shower and a wedding,  You can find the tutorial I used here

  2. Kathy, I have no words!!! For me, that is saying a lot. The box alone is a great piece of art, and then the cupcake inside..... Well. Outstanding, over the top. I would not even attempt something like this. Your friend must be very special to you and how wonderful that relationship must be. She is a lucky lady. Thanks for all of the pictures. And your hubby cooks! Swoon. Lol

And then you did so much embellishment - every stinkin' side is a work of art. Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention, I just didn't see it.
