Prize for the challenge.
The dark purple looks black and some of the pale lavender looks white or pink.
I started with a Tim Holtz die cut in dark purple. I cut it again in vellum and stamped and embossed the music staff in white. I backed that with apiece of lavender card embossed with Tim Holtz brick pattern. I used a Sue Wilson die cut in dark purple and topped that with a Sue Wilson sentiment. I framed the entire piece with a pale lavender frame. Then I built my flower spray with some ribbon, Wild Iris flowers and Frantic Stamper ferns.
The Double D team outdid themselves for this challenge and you are going to find amazing inspiration on the Double D Challenge Board.

ReplyDeleteOh, shades of purple. Be still my heart, great challenge. And your card is FABULOUS!!!! Love the touches of black and green to make those beautiful flowers pop! Simply stunning all the way around, LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is another ravishing card as only you can do. You have splendid texture and design on this one. I do love purple, but agree that it is hard to photograph. Hint: I used my Ipad to take a picture instead of my camera and the color seemed better.
ReplyDeleteKathy, this card is beautiful! The corner die cut and flower cluster are fabulous. I must have that die cut.

ReplyDeleteWOWZA This is beautifully AWESOME!! I too LOVE the flower cluster and the various shades of purple you've incorporated! Yes, I too have difficulty photographing my purple designs (mine always turn out blue) ... but one of these days I'll sit down and read my camera instructions and hopefully figure it out. Something to do with the 'white' setting ... whatever! No time today lol ... yours is gorgeous no matter what shade it looks. HUGS
ReplyDeleteOh, I love purple. And, I love the design you made for the challenge. And, I know photos can be deceiving but I think yours is showing the colors fairly well so we get the idea. Sometimes taking a photo depends on the light source too.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is absolutely stunning, Kathy!! The layers are amazing!! I love the beautiful flowers and the design!! The embossed background is gorgeous!! Spectacular my friend!! I love it!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)
