Tree Outside My Window

Horray!!! It is challenge time at Double D and Darlene has out together another amazing mood board for us. We are to use a tree on our project. I loved all the inspiration but my eye was drawn to the fall colors so I used that as my inspiration. I started with a A2 panel, embossed it with a Tim Holtz brick pattern embossing folder and sponged on some color. Then I backed a Spellbinder's window panel with some vellum and put that over the embossed panel. A Frantic Stamper bench and a Memory Box cat. Next I use an IO tree frame and surrounded it with IO mini pumpkins.

Then I backed a Spellbinder's window panel with some vellum and put that over the embossed panel. I added a Frantic Stamper bench and a Memory Box cat below the window.  Next I used an IO tree frame with some pop dots  for dimension and surrounded the base of the tree with IO mini pumpkins. Then I added some punched and sponged leaves to the tree. I over did that a lot and covered up my window. Someday I will learn less is more.

  4. Oh I love your Fabulous Fall Tree, many leaves and all. I can still leaf peek through to your window too! You have created such a beautiful Fall day, love the bench, pumpkins and the cat lolling around on a lazy afternoon--probably has found the last speck of sunshine to nap in. This is AWESOME!!!

  9. This card is totally awesome and you have put so much detail into it. I don't believe that it is too much. I think that you have been taking some lessons from Olga. I am sitting here, as I look at this card and love the lazy autumn feeling that you have created.

  10. WOW this is absolutely AMAZING Kathy! LOVE the scene you've created and it reminds me of some of the houses you see in the bigger cities where there's a tree out front in the sidewalk that when in fall color just 'takes over'. Fabulous design my friend ... so glad you're on my team!

  13. Such a gorgeous fall card. LOVE all the leaves, and the park bench is so quaint, especially with that sweet kitty. I have that die and can't wait to use it.

  14. What an absolutely wonderful scene, Kathy! I like how you get a peek at the window through the leaves. I noticed it right off the bat. The brick wall is ideal, and the bench with the kitty perched perfectly and the pumpkins laid out really completes it. That's a lot of die cutting of those leaves. You've got real stick-to-it-iveness! I really like the size of the IO tree frame, too. Gosh, it's all so pretty!
