My good friend, Barb is the hostess at Mod Squad Challenge Blog She challenged us to make a gatefold card, and the Cherry Lynn Challenge is Back to Nature(Birds, Butterflies etc) so I thought I would combine the two. I made an inter locking card by cutting a frame using two Spellbinder dies in rose card. Then I cut the smaller die out in ivory embossed the edges and sponged it while it was still in the die. I stamped the sentiment and a few leaves on the die cut. I cut the card base and layered it with some green card and ODB designer paper. After I assembled the card, I popped on some flowers and leaves and a Cheery Lynn butterfly.

ReplyDeleteOMGoodness! I was hoping that someone would do the interlocking gatefold. This is just so amazing, and I am glad that you are the one who did it. I needed to keep the challenge simple, but the gate fold can be so elegant, as you have shown here. The colors and elements that you used are so special. Love the design. Thanks for playing at the Mod Squad challenge this week. :)
