Double D Challenge Blog Silhouttes

Don't you just love this mood board that Darlene put together for us.  The one thing they all had in common is a colorful sky so that is where I took my inspiration.

I inked a piece of card with a distress inks using a mask to make the moon.  The background is actually much brighter, but despite numerous attempts it always looks washed out in the pictures. I have had this Die Namites die for months but this is the first time I have used it. It was perfect for this challenge. Of course, I had to use my new favorite die from Tuttie Designs to surround the window like lace curtains. Really simple card using only two dies and some inks but great for all your cat loving friends.

If you link up a project at Double D, you will have a chance to win the darling set of Frantic Stamper dies.

Dies R Us Tag

It is time for a new challenge at Dies R Us. This time we are challenging you to make a tag. I had a pretty piece of water colored paper in my scrap basket in orange and yellow so I began with that. I cit the Elizabeth Crafts Die in white and in the water colored paper.

I wanted something more  on the bottom part of the tag and noticed I had already cut the iron gate from Diversions for a project that ended up going a different direction so I put that on top of the tag and it fit perfectly. I just had to trim the top and feet, A Die Namics flourish , some Memory Box Tall Choloe and some flowers and ribbon from my stash and I was done.  The DRU team  team has some fabulous Inspiration for you so be sure to check it out. We are looking forward to seeing you tags.

Here is a Mood Board for all of you who like bold and bright colors. Diane calls it Neon Brights. I must say this is out of my wheel house.... but then that's why we call it a challenge. I liked the rows of colored corn so I created rows of  colored panels using a Frantic Stamper Chevron Boarder.
A Cheery Lynn You are Awesome  and a Cheery Lynn Summer Drink Die . You can find these over at the Dies R Us Store

Head over to the Double D Challenge Blog for lots more inspiration, and then create your own Neon Bright card. We are looking forward to seeing what you will create.

Dies R Us Easter

It is time for a new challenge at Dies R US and it is all about Easter. I decided this Praying Hands Egg by Tutti Designs was a perfect Easter Image. I had some paper that reminds me a bit of stained glass so I used that as a background. I cut the egg die twice, once in black and once in white. I used a green marker on the white die cut to go around the frame of the egg and the trim of the sleeves. I also used my stylist to give a little dimension to the flowers. Then I used markers to color the hands.  Behind the Egg die, I used the Rose Frame also by Tutti Designs.  I like that frame so much that I have used it on every card I have made recently. I must put it away. The Happy and Easter are Cheery Lynn Dies. I should have used a darker color to make the sentiment pop more, but I did layer it three times so it shows better INRL.  I think this Praying hands egg would make a beautiful sympathy card too.
