Get Well Soon Bears

I have been having computer issues lately and have not been able to comment on some of my favorite blogs.  If you have not seen any comments from me on your blogs, I have not deserted you, I just can't comment. My hope is that I will get it fixed soon. In the meantime, I am visiting your blogs and praising your work you just can't hear me.  I made this card for my computer, but I will probably send it to an ailing friend. I will enter this in Scrapyland Anything Goes Challenge.

This is what I used to make the card.

Double D Just Wing It

Just Wing It is the brand new challenge at Double D Challenge Blog. Look at the fabulous Mood board Darlene created for us.When I looked at this mood board, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I loved the beautiful white dove with the rays of light shining down on it, and I had the perfect die to fit the image.

Alas and alac, I hated the card when I finished with it so I went in  another direction.

I did have an IO sentiment that suited the challenge beautifully so I started with that. I stamped it on a panel I had sponged with distress oxide inks. I cut the Memory Box Deer Grove Oval twice from black card stock and backed it with the sentiment panel. I put that on the Memory Box Wrapped Scalloped Rectangles die cut that was placed on a blue card base. I added the fairy and a few flowers and I was done.
Everyone loves a prize so one person who creates a project for this challenge will be randomly selected to win this Frantic Stamper die.

The team has fabulous Wing It inspiration for you at Double D Challenge Blog.

Here is the first card I made for this challenge. It did not turn out like the vision in my head, but that happens sometimes.

Dies R Us Frame It

The 15th of the month and time for a fun challenge at Dies R Us Challenge Blog called Frame It.

I love this Memory Box frame. It cuts, embosses and allows you to use it as a stencil  while it is in the die.  I cut a piece of white card with the floral frame die and backed it with a sponged background.  I put the floral frame on top and inlaid  flower petals and leaves.

These are the dies I used for the card.

When Skies are Grey

Who knew that grey could be so pretty? Diane did when she decided upon this theme.  This board is full of pattern texture and dimension. I did not pick one frame but all of them and tried to get different textures, patterns and dimensions.

Grey seemed a perfect color for a sympathy card, and sadly I have been needing more and more of them. The Frantic Stamper Die Frame Die is the perfect combination of different textures so I added dimension between the layers. A simple flower and a sentiment from Our Daily Bread finished the card.

If you participate in the challenge, you will have a chance to win this fabulous die. As usual the team has so many different and wonderful takes on this challenge so go take a look at DD Challenge Blog.
We want to see your Shades of Grey.

Dies R Us Pastels

Where did February go? Here it is the first of March and another great challenge at

I am trying to replenish my stash of get well and sympathy cards. In the evenings, I spend time with hubby in front of TV and during that time I sponge and shape flowers in different colors so I have them on hand for projects like this one.

I started with a lilac card base and added some PTI designer paper on the top and glued a Frantic Stamper Lattice Edger to the bottom of the DP.  I dressed up the card with some twine and lace then added my flowers and greens. The get well by Frantic Stamper was added to the sides of the flowers.

Here are the Dies available from the  DRU STORE
