Double D Stripes and Dots

Time for another challenge at  Double D Challenge Blog. Darlene has provided us with a fun and colorful mood board;

I am getting my Christmas cards done one challenge at a time. I used some  PTI paper that I bought a couple of years ago when they had a huge anniversary sale. I bought every color they had and have used them a lot.  They were perfect for this challenge at Double D Challenge Blog

Here are the dies I used.

Make It Sparkle

I just got two new dies from IO so I thought I would use them for their Make It Sparkle Challenge .  One more Christmas card done.

Dies R Us Fall

Fall has arrived even here in sunny California,  We don't have the magnificent
 changing of leaves like you see in Pennsylvania where I grew up, but there are a few trees that change color and our evenings and mornings have the cool, crisp air that I associate with fall. The challenge at Dies R Us is all about fall.

 I just got this Tutti Design frame from the Dies R Us Store`so I decided to feature it on my card. I covered the frantic stamper tree with gilding flakes.  I embossed a piece of card stock with gold embossing powder and then cut the  IO give thanks sentiment that I backed with black.

These are the dies I used for the card.

Scare - in" Up Some Pumpkins

Pumpkins  and scarecrows and a fun mood board.  Somewhere I have a stamp set from Gina K Designs designer Theresa Momber that was perfect for this challenge.... but I could not find it. It will probably turn up after I clean up my craft room from my many Christmas projects.

As I looked through my supplies, I found  some IO pumpkins and Memory Box pumpkins so I went to the internet to find a scarecrow that was legal to use. I found this happy fellow.

 The picture with stairs and the shelves of pumpkins inspired me to do a stair step card.  This is soooo different from what I usually do, but it was fun.  The best part of being part of this design team is that we are challenged to give you examples, but then we get to be inspired by your awesome creativity.  I think Darlene and Diane have put together an amazing team because none of us approach the challenge in the same way which opens up so possibilities for all of you. Take some time this challenge to thank Diane and Darlene for all they do to bring this challenge blog to YOU.  They are amazing.  Check out what the design team did for this challenge HERE.

Happy Anniversary

We hope you will join us for the current challenge at Dies R Us. This time it is Anything goes using dies available at the Dies R Us Store.   I love doing all kinds of interactive cards which do require some extra time, but are worth the extra effort. Many of my cards use some sort of Pop up designs on the inside so I am always looking for easy to do things for the outside of the card. This Sue Wilson Wedded Bliss design is perfect for an easy and quick outside.

I cut the die in white and put it on a blue background. I added some color to the cake and the, bottle and the cut the ring, heart,  and sentiment from gold glitter paper. I glued the rings and heart to the white die cut to add a little bit of bling. I used some gold stickles to the bottle to give it some shine.
We Hope you will join us at Dies R Us for the Challenge.
