Double D Weddings

Hello, friends.  Just wanted you to know that my computer crashed and I am using a very old note book to make comments and write posts. It is slow  so I am learning to be patient...well sort of. My computer is being fixed (I hope) but I will lose all my programs and will have to start the download process again. Ugh. If you don't get any comments from me for awhile, you will know I quit being patient. Ok now the reason for this post.  Once again we have a fabulous inspiration board at Double D Challenge Blog.  It is all about weddings.

For this card I started with a pretty piece of paper from PTI. the flowers and the lattice backgound reminded me of a garden wedding. I cut an oval from a piece of white card and then I covered that with Tutti Designs Rose frame. I finished it of with a scalloped frame from Gina Marie. I added a bride and groom from Frantic Stamper  and a Sue Wilson sentiment.

The Design Team has put together some fabulous projects for this challenge. They have truly out done themselves, Go take a peek at  Double D . I can't wait to see our galley fill up with inspiration from you.

Celebrations

The new Challenge at Dies R Us is called Celebrations. like Graduations,Weddings, Summertime Birthdays & Anniversaries!  For this card, I started with 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 piece of card stock. I layered a Cheery Lynn Italian Flourish onto it and covered it with some velum,
Next, I cut another piece of white card stock with an oval die. I used Frantic Stamper Elemental Ovals to create some oval frames to layer on top of the vellum. Next came the Blooming Flowers Frame topped with Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangles.

I searched my flower box for flowers and found two flowers that I made awhile back from Cherry Lynn's Gardenia Strip, and layered that on top of Poppy Stamps Sylvan Sprig.

Double D Blue and White

The theme for the challenge at Double D Challenge Blog this time is blue and white. Each of the tiles on the mood board has wodnerful texture, dimensions, and  patterns

A double Z fold card looks so impressive but they are easy to make and fun to do and since I have not done one for awhile I decided this was the perfect opportunity. I chose a PTI paper for patterns and added some die cuts over the paper for  more dimension and texture. A flower with homemade flower soft and a  happy birthday sentiment completed my card.

Here is the prize for this Challenge.

Our design team is going to WOW you again. They are such a fabulous group of designers. Head over to the Double D Challenge Blog and get inspired then join us with your blue and white design.

Dies R Us Masculine

The masculine challenge at Dies R Us came at a great time because I needed a birthday card for a great BIL.  I cut the Memory Box Deer Grove Oval from a piece of white card stock, then I used the negative and scored it on my score board and applied vintage photo and walnut distress inks directly to the paper. Next, I sponged a background using a mask for the moon and  sponging distress inks around it. I adheared that to the wood panel frame.    I cut another Memory Box Deer Grove Oval in Black and adheared that on top. That was glued onto a black card base. A Sue Wilson's Just  a Note die cut and some black enamel dots finished the card.
