Addicted to CAS Animals

A few of us at Double D Challenge Blog decided to participate in another challenge a together. This time we are over at Addicted to CASIf you follow my blog, you know that it is rare for me to do a CAS card. I love it as a style and admire those who have perfected it, but it is hard for me. I decided it would be good for me to give it a try.

I had this Cottage Kutz die I had not used for awhile. I like how the lab is hidden behind the grass.  I cut it twice once in black and once  in green, and paired that with a new IO  Wooden Disc die  and a PTI Hello die.  A lot of the detail in the wooden disc does not show in the picture.

Double D Showers and Flowers

I hope you are all staying safe and weathering the challenges that we are facing at this time. For sure, many of us have had more time to craft so we hope you will join us for the new challenge at Double D Challenge Blog.

Here is the Mood Board for the Showers and Flowers Challenge.

My inspiration was the umbrella and rain boots and the bright yellow bow.

A good friend sent me the background die cut(thanks , Barb). I put that on bright yellow card stock and layered it with a Sue Wilson Daisy Frame. The boots and umbrella are from Elizabeth Crafts and the sentiment is from Karen Burniston.

We have lots of showers and flowers inspiration for you at Double D Challenge Blog. We hope you will join us.

DRU Spring Flowers

We are officially half way through the month so it is time for another challenge at  Dies R Us Challenge Blog,Spring Flowers.  One of my favorite spring flowers is the dogwood so I used my Elizabeth Craft Dogwood die for flowers. I had a piece of pretty designer paper in my stash so I framed it with a Frantic Stamper frame and Lawn Fawn frame.

The Dies R Us Store is open and fully operational. You can find the dies I used if you click on the links. Also, if you don't get the news letter, you are missing some special events and sales.

The team has some great inspiration for you so we hope you will join us for this challenge.

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail (Easter).

I am a designer for a Challenge Blog called Double D which was created by two wonderful women, Darlene Pavlick and Diane Hoover. Because they are such great leaders, the team has become very close and supportive.  With the world in such turmoil,  we have been checking in with each other to make sure that we are all doing well physically and mentally.  Several of the girls on the team stated that they were finding it hard to create so to shake thing up we are going to participate in a challenge at Cut it Up Challenge called Hoping Down the Bunny Trail.

I did not have one bunny stamp or die so I went searching for free images and found this cute bunny.  I printed it in two different sizes and added a little pink embossing powder to their ears. I started with Spellbinders Vanitian Lace die cut.  I cut an oval from the center and then added a background that I sponged with distress oxide inks, stenciled and finally stamped.

I added  Elizabeth Craft dogwoods and ladder fern along with some Stamping-Up leaves.
I think it came out kinda cute.

All ten members of the Double D Design Team is participating in this Positivity Challenge.    If you click on their name,  it will take you to their blog to see what they created for the Cut it Up Challenge.

Double D Banners

The new challenge at Double D Challenge Blog is called Banners. Diane has provided all sorts of banners in different sizes, shapes, and patterns on this mood board.  I love this Sue Wilson Birthday die with a built in banner.   I have used this die by itself and also cut it apart and used bits and pieces of it on different cards.  I decided to use a blue plaid with matching blue paper so  I can use this card for either a guy or a girl.

Of course, Diane has the perfect prize to go along with the challenge. The possibilities of this die set is amazing.
My team mates have provided lots of inspiration for you, and we hope you will join us for this challenge at Double D Challenge Blog .

DRU Anything Goes

April 1st and time to start a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenge Blog. This time our challenge is Anything Goes, but remember you need to use at least one die in your project.  I can't tell you how often I use the Memory Box Deer Grove Oval in my designs. I use it with the deer, but frequently I de deer it and just use the tree background.  The deer became a church in this example.

This card could be for Easter, conformation or even a wedding.  I used the following dies from the
