Double D Red and White Challenge

Are you ready for another Double D Challenge? Just look at this wonderful inspiration board for this week's challenge and then head over to the Double D Challenge Blog and check all the inspiration from my team mates. I am sure you will want to join in and link up your project.

I liked the knitted or crocheted flower afghan and took my inspiration from it.  I used my Spellbinders Celebrations pierced rectangles for the frame and  backed it with Memory Box English Rose Corners. The red flower was made from Cheery Lynn's gardenia die.  The Hugs sentiment , the lacy heart, and the fishtail banners are also from Cheery Lynn.  I used assorted leaves that I cut and have on hand but the fern in the background is from Frantic Stamper. I will also enter the Dies R Us Challenge.

Friends Forever

The Challenge at Impression Obsession is Friends Forever. I love this sentiment so I decided to use it as the focal image.  I did a little stamping around it with some IO stamps and then used the Hearts flourish on the side. I cut two of them and cut them apart to fit around the circle and then added some Wild Orchid flowers.

Tickled Pink

This is a birthday card for a wonderful friend of mine who loves pink.  Since the Cheery Lynn Challenge is Tickled Pink, I decided to combine a needed card with a challenge.

Scrapy Land Challenge 35

 

Time for another fun challenge at Scrapy Land.   The theme for this challenge is

Anything Goes plus use any brand of low profile or steel ruled die Scrapy Land sells. Since they sell over 40 brands, it is an easy challenge. I started with paper from Heartfelt Creations and topped with Spellbinders lattice.  I used a Spellbinders Royal Circle negative cut behind the largest die.  I water colored the IO bird on a branch. I used one of my homemade lilacs and some flowers from Wild Orchid.

Double D Challenges Pretty Pink Hearts

The title for the newest Double D Challenge is Pretty Pink Hearts.  Just look at the amazing inspiration for this challenge. 

 

Since so many of my latest cards have been busy, I decided to try a CAS design. I used Spellbinders pierced rectangle dies for the card base. I topped it with a Cheery Lynn Burlap die then cut three hearts using Sizzix Hearts dies.   For two of them, I cut the centers out with the size smaller die. I had the little Cheery Lynn white hearts piece left over from another card so  used it to back  the  second largest heart. I stamped the largest heart with a Stampendous music score stamp and embossed it with white embossing powder.  I added a home made flower and some ivy leaves from Spellbinders. The butterflies are from Memory Box Butterfly Exhibit  and the sentiment is from Gina K.

Scrapy Land Love/ Valentine Challenge

Time to get a head start on Valentine's Day cards and participate in the the Scrapy Land challenge. The theme is Valentine's Day plus use any brand of die from any of the forty brands that Scrap Land sells. Go over to the Scrapy Land Blog and check out the fabulous inspiration from the designers on the team.

I don't usually make shaped cards but this die by Cheery Lynn just seemed right for one.  I just layered and popped up the layers. I made the red flowers from the Cheery Lynn Gardenia die.
