Back to my comfort zone. The challenge this month at Memory Box is Yellow so I started with a soft yellow base that I embossed with Swiss dot embossing folder. I covered that with Memory Box Aberdeen branches the placed it in a white frame. I used a frantic stamper die cut on top of the frame to add more detail. Then I used Frantic stamper fern. Spellbinder leaves and Memory Box Tall Choloe to add some greenery for the flowers. The banner is cheery Lynn topped with Cheery Lynn Hugs. I had a couple of Memory Box butterflies from Butterfly exhibit so I put them on the banner. T Some flowers from Wild Iris finished my card.
I'll enter this in the following Challenges

Wow! This is so pretty! Love that flower display! I love the colours too and whilst I shy away from yellows you have used them beautifully!
ReplyDeleteMan oh man, what a beautiful garden you have created....well, like you always do. That cascade of flowers, ferns, accents and greenery is spectacular! No one can cultivate a paper garden like you, Miss Kathy!!! Love your background--I tried to channel you on my latest gold and black card--well just the background--I don't know how you do it! I will try again! That yellow is beautiful as are the die cut and frame....WOW! STUNNING!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so partial to yellow and white, just always so crisp and clean. I love what Donna said....you have such a green thumb when it comes to paper gardening. Your beautiful floral element is just amazing, you always know just what to use. LOVE the background and the Swiss dots add such nice texture. Really, really gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, you are making a BIG impression of all of us. Donna is trying to channel you, and you would be proud to know that I have been making flowers. Love those frantic frames that you used to anchor the gorgeous paper garden. ;) You just seem to have a knack for growing. You cards are one of a kind.
ReplyDeleteKathy your card is gorgeous! I love the Hugs die and all that beautiful yellow on your very elegant card!

ReplyDeleteJust love the delicate textures and the dimension you've created! Fantastic card!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Olga for taking time to comment. I think that you can see that I have taken so many ideas from you. I try to make them my own but you got me started using frames and some sort of background die. Many of my friends have started following you because when I first started using this technique I gave you the credit for my ideas. Here is the post of the first time I used your technique. This is one of my favorite cards that I have made to date. Thank you so much for all the inspiration. http://stampwithk.blogspot.com/2015/10/fall.html
