The new Challenge at Dies R Us is all about layers. Those of you who visit my blog regularly know that I am not a big fan of layering.... yeah, right. In fact, I did a similar card for the last challenge, but I wanted to show how nicely the flower frame from Memory Box inks using the die as a stencil.
I started with a plain piece of white card and layered it with Memory Box Country Rose die cut and added velum on top. I cut an oval from PTI blueberry sky card stock and layered that onto the velum. Next came the Memory Box Flower Frame then Lawn Fawn Stitched Frame. I use Poppy Stamps Sylvan Sprig, a Cheery Lynn butterfly and a Frantic Stamper Bird on a Willow Branch with a few flowers from my stash on the side. A pretty Sue Wilson sentiment that I cut three times and layered together finished my card.
The team has some awesome inspiration for you at the Dies R Us Challenge Bog and if you link up your layered card you might be the lucky winner of a credit at the Dies R Us Store. Thanks for stopping by.

Gorgeous card with awesome layers!! Love the design and lovely butterfly!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, I love your new card as much as the other one! How different it looks with the blue, which is quite striking and very summery. Love LOVE the floral/leafy/birdie/butterfly embellishment you created for it! This particular green and blue are so beautiful together. That really caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteYou really are a die cutting Queen Kathy. Always beautiful and with whatever you add to them is always breathtaking. Both these cards are beautiful in every way.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are lovely Kathy! They are both so striking.
ReplyDeleteSuch elegant layers and both are stunning in color and design. Hugs, Autumn
