Double D Kitchen is the Heart of the Home

Kitchen is the Heart of the Home!
What's In Your Kitchen?

Isn't this a fun mood board with all  the colors and all the patterns?  I chose most of my inspiration from the gingham aprons and the kitchen utensils.

I just got a couple of Sue Wilson Shadow Box frames from the  Dies R Us Store for Christmas and knew I wanted to use one of those for this challenge.

Sue Wilson Designs - Festive Collection - Christmas Shadow Box

I chose red and blue for the colors and backed the frame with PTI red gingham .  As I was looking through my supplies,I stumbled onto a sticker set I have had for ages. The fun thing about DD challenges is that you are not restricted and can use any supplies that you have. I combined the stickers with a set of cooking dies I have to fill out the squares.

Because this is our anniversary month challenge, there are two prizes for this challenge.

Hope you will join us for this Kitchen is Heart of the Home Challenge at Double D Challenge Blog.

As I promised on my  last post for Double D, I randomly chose one entry from those who commented on my blog and also linked up a design on the DD Anniversary Blog. Thanks for all the sweet comments and  fabulous entries. The winner is VINITA JAIN.  Please e-mail me fkkrug@gmail.com so I can send your gift voucher from DIES R US .

  2. The heart of the home is truly the kitchen and you have made an amazing card with all of the things that I think about the kitchen of my childhood. Lots of baking went on there, and the love and comfort of good food. That sticker set really came in handy and so glad that you used it here, it is perfect.

I'm a homemaker at heart, so there is something so very comforting about all this kitchen stuff. Stickers? I wasn't sure. I can't tell which is stickers and which is dies. Fantastic, Kathy!
