I always have trouble creating cards for the men in my life so when I saw this PTI Transformation Challenge. I knew it was a perfect way to get one done.
This is the first card I made. I love that little PTI Envelope. This is an all occasion type of card.
Here is my transformed card. I used PTI card stock and checked designer paper that I think is retired(good thing I bought lots of colors when it was on sale last year) background paper. I stuffed the little envelope with a white piece of card stock embossed with a birthday embossing folder. The birds are from IO and the cat tails are Die Versions. This is a really quick and simple card.`
OH how fantastic! And thanks for the heads up, I entered the stamp contest and blew right by this one. lol That little envelope is darling, for men or women! Love the cat tails too, a perfect masculine card!
ReplyDeleteI did see this challenge and was not sure how to do it. This is a great example of how to transform a card. No doubt about it, this is a fantastic masculine card.
ReplyDeleteKathy I absolutely LOVE this!! I liked the first card, but using the envelope on the front, and adding the cattails and bird is just GENIUS!! Plus I really like your colors, and the background paper is perfect. I think this is just spectacular, and a perfect masculine card!
ReplyDeleteI so love both renditions using that envelope. You created a great masculine card using those items. And the paper is perfect for it.
ReplyDeleteI love both the original and the transformation!! They are both so beautiful!! I have so much trouble with masculine cards, too!! You've done a fabulous job!! Have a great weekend!! Big hugs :)

Two very different cards with the same theme. Love the first girly one and you certainly mastered the male card with the second one. It is such a fabulous one with the cattails and birds. Fabulous Kathy.
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards! I think those tiny envelopes are so cute too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute envelope die! Wonderful cards Kathy!
ReplyDeleteOH wow Kathy, you sure nailed it with this..but gee, I LOVE both of them!!
ReplyDeleteThe best advice I ever heard for making masculine cards is to take any feminine card you might make and simply change the elements to masculine. You sure showed how it works! Wow! I love both equally, but you know how I've got that nature bug in me. The yellow is sooooo pretty, too. My favorite color!
