A new month and a new challenge at Double D Challenge Blog. It is all about hearts. Diane has created this fabulous Mood board for us. I don't know about you but I love gingham and Swiss Dots.
I decided to make a side step card for this challenge. It has been awhile since I have done one of these. I used a Spellbinders die for the heart and key. The rest of the dies are from Impression Obsession. I had to smile because when I showed my husband some of the cards I made for Valentine's Day he asked me what XO meant. Is that a girl thing?
If you play along with us for this challenge, you can win this fun heart die. I love how the Dar and Diane always have a prize that is perfect for the challenge.
We hope you will join us at Double D Challenge Blog.
Beautiful card Kathy and beautiful design, I just might have to make a step card too as like you it has been a long while, you have inspired me. So now when the hubby gets up, I am going to show him my card and see if he knows what XO means lol...I will let you know!!
ReplyDeleteKathy I love the style and step cards are one of my fav....lovely design.xx
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable Kathy! I haven't made a step card in a long time either so I'm very inspired by your sweet creation. I love the comment your hubby made. Gave me a good giggle this morning. :0) Anyway, love your sweet creation!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful step card my friend! Thanks for inspiration ... I too haven't made a step card in years (guess what I'm going to do today! lol). Beautiful design ... love it! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Is that a girl thing? Did you have fun explaining it to him? Now that he knows I think you should make a card for him with lots of X's and O's. This step card is by design, antriging, but I love all of the special die cuts that you added to make it glamorous.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so beautiful. I love the colors on your step card.
ReplyDeleteLovely step card, Kathy! The heart border is amazing and had to chuckle that you had to explain the XO!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny about XOXO. I may very well be a girl thing. Not sure MY Hubs knows what it means either...lol. I love what you have done with the two colors here. And the pretty polka dot patterned paper really makes the white pop. This is really beautiful
ReplyDeleteYou've got some fabulous dies, Kathy! You always make me feel like going shopping. This is beautiful! Funny about the XO. I turned around and asked Rich if he knew what it meant. He thought a minute, but then he got it. He said his first thought was "executive office". That sounds like a guy thing, doesn't it. Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteGreat side step card, love all of that pretty dotted Designer Paper and those beautiful heart and key dies. Here ya go: XOXO :)
