Double D Challenge Begins with " M "

The new challenge at Double D Challenge Blog is called Begins with "M".  Dar has given us some great ideas with this mood board.

One of my best friends loves music and plays the piano so I made this music themed card  with her in mind.  I saw several variations of this on line and also found a free template of a grand piano. It took a few tries to get everything sized correctly. Even though I am happy with how it turned out,  I don't know if I will make another one because I did not write anything down, so I would be starting all over again.

I used a Cheery Lynn doily die for the background.  I added some homemade flowers and leaves, some Penny Black tulips (my friend's favorite flower), and a birthday sentiment.

The top of the piano is opens and I used some music designer paper and a flower. I made a little stand so the top of the piano can be left open.  I will write my message either on the top inside or back of the piano.

The DT has some awesome Begins with M creations for your inspiration at Double D Challenge Blog . If you link up with us, you could win this prize.

  2. OMG! How clever is this. I have seen many a piano card, but this one with the top open is so grand. I love the addition of the flowers and that you knew your friends favorite. That will make this card even more special for her. Looks like you put a lot of love into this one.
