A new challenge begins today at Dies R Us Challenge Blog. the theme is Anything Goes using at least one die from a company that DRU sells. I chose the Tutti Design Coral Reef for my card. I cut it in white and from some water color paper that I sponged with distress ink and spritzed with water. I saved the negative parts of the die cut and stamped a sentiment from Impression Obsession in the center. The white die cut was then inlaid between the negative parts. All that was layered on a teal card base. A few enamel dots finished the card.

Such a lovely card with the coral reef frame! Adorable swimming turtles, too! The sentiment is very true! We recently went on vacation and had a day at the beach where it was so peaceful to just sit and watch the waves and seagulls!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet card Kathy! It's always fun to make an inlaid card. It's relaxing like putting a puzzle together. Your pretty swimming turtles are delightful.

ReplyDeleteHow adorable. LOVE what you have done with that cute turtle die and your background is perfect!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty! Great die cut frame, I have never ever seen this one before, so cool! Hope you are staying cool out there, it sounds like it has been so oppressive! Be well!
ReplyDeleteOooh, a very cool underwater die with a beautiful background! The inlay is a good idea with a die like this. I always get glue on my fingers and things get all twisty when they stick to me. I can make a real mess! The inlay really helps. I hope you are managing the heat down there okay. Your card is certainly a cool oasis!
ReplyDeleteLove your sentiment, and your under the water frame couldn't be more perfect to frame it. Beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holiday weekend and stay safe.
