Thanksgiving is over, the turkey is gone and now the Christmas Season can get into full swing. Our Challenge at Double D Challenge Blog is Christmas JOY(the word JOY MUST be on your creation. We have a wonderful Mood Board for your inspiration.
When I made my entry, I was not looking at the Mood board and just remembered we had to use the word joy. I have this wonderful Spellbinders Joy die so I chose that and made my card. When I came back to post it, I noticed all the colors and patterns on the mood board. Alas, my card had none of the pretty patterns or colors. I am officially claiming my Oldtimers disease for this pale version of the Mood Board.
The team has some wonderful inspiration for you so go on over to Double D Challenge Blog and be inspired.
Your card turned out beautifully Kathy and the mood board is just for inspiration you don't have to use it, plus loved seeing this die used an entirely different way to inspire me to purchase it! Very elegant and classy!!
ReplyDeleteI used the same die for my card and did the same thing, just remembering that it need the word "joy". Fortunately, my papers were close to the inspiration. But either way, your card is lovely just like it is!
ReplyDeleteGood point Brigit! This JOY looks so different that I didn't realize that it was the same. Oldtimmers disease or not, this was a great way to show how many different ways we can use our dies.
ReplyDeletehahaha It's perfect as is, that cool and chilly blue works perfectly for a Christmas card--gonna go grab a sweater lol I love this JOY die, it's nice to see it used differently! A very festive card indeed! Merry Merry!
ReplyDeleteI'm with the other ladies ... your card is GORGEOUS Kathy and I'm so inspired by it!! I'm such a 'traditionalist' when it comes to Christmas, I rarely grab for any colors other than red/green/white/gold. Thanks for sharing such a beauty and how cool is it that you & Birgit used the same die but your cards are so different one to the other! GREAT JOB my friend!
ReplyDeleteLovely card, Kathy! I think it's great that you took inspiration from the sentiment. The pale blue brings the nativity to mind for me. Must be because Mary is always portrayed in blue. I love the stitched frame and background die. Your cards never disappoint with so many beautiful details.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Kathy and beautifully designed. Have a lovely weekend xx
ReplyDeleteI just told Birgit that I almost got that die because of her card and then I see yours. I! MUST! RESIST!!! This is stunning, love what you have done those that die cut. Your colors are so soft and beautiful. GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous! I love the vintage feel of the card and the soft colours. So elegant!
