One of the things I have learned from watching Jennifer McQuire is to make two cards at a time especially if you have leftover parts. I made a card for a different challenge last week and I had the left over die cut designer paper so I cut another MFT chevron cover plate in white and then alternated the leftover dp in the white die cut and then I then adhered it to a navy card base. It was on my desk when I saw that Cheery Lynn's challenge this week is red, white, and blue so I had my background done. I used a PTI phrase play die for the focal image. I cut it once from white and once from navy and trimmed the white one and adhered it to the navy one. I added the Cheery Lynn birthday to the navy and added a couple of MFT stars.

Don't you love watching Jennifer? i like watching her too. She has so many ideas that are so clever. Like this one that you did here. I totally remember the card that you did for my challenge, but this one is different and now you have another card. I love the script on the birthday and how you die cut the Happy and put it in the circle. Oh, and the that sparkly star. You are a winner.
ReplyDeleteI love watching Jennifer - she and Kristina Werner are my crafting gurus. Always something new to see. And I am so IN LOVE with that inlay technique. You have done it perfectly here. It's so much fun - right? Great card, awesome colors, beautiful sparkly star!!! Wonderful card!!

ReplyDeleteWell, you're so smart to do that, I don't think I could focus on 2 at a time! lol I love this card too, the chevron background, the Designer Papers and the Happy die, it all just works so well together! Another pretty designed card, but that's just how you roll! ;)
