Double D Here Comes Santa

Darlene has created a fun filled Santa Mood Board for our challenge this time. These Santa images are so much fun and filled with Christmas Cheer. Need some more inspiration? Visit  the Double D Challenge Blog.

Here Comes Santa Claus
(Use SANTA on your card/project)

It has been awhile since I created a double Z fold card so I decided to create one using a Cottage Kutz Santa I have had for awhile. I cut him from red glitter paper and white card stock. At this time of the year, I try to keep a stash of  snowflakes on hand. I used wuite a few IO and Poppy Stamp snowflakes to add texture to the background.  I also added an IO Merry Christmas cut from glitter paper and created presents by cutting squares and using some ribbon dies I had.

Of course, Dar made the prize fit the challenge. How cute is this Santa and sleigh?

So what are you waiting for? Pull out your Santa stamps, papers, pictures dies and join us at  Double D Challenge Blog.

  3. When I saw this mood board, I could not get to your post fast enough. Wondering what you would do for your example. You surprised me with this sweet Z fold card. How perfect is that Santa and all of the snow flakes that decorate your card. It occurred to me that I don't even have a Santa die. I think I need one. You are so creative to make the gifts out of squares. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is magical, a true Winter Wonderland complete with the big jolly guy himself! Love all of those frosty snowflakes and how you cut Santa from the red glitter paper! Merry Merry!

  6. Oh, that Santa! Those Cottage Cutz dies do have some detail in them. He's so cute! And all those beautiful snowflakes... I'd be at a loss as to how to decorate this much surface, but you knew exactly what to do. Love the big "Merry Christmas" and, dang, Kathy, now I want to go make me some presents, too. I have a bow die that might be just the ticket. Always so much inspiration here!
