Dies R Us pumpkins or apples

Pumpkins and/or Apples
I live in a small farm community and I am surrounded by roadside stands that sell their homegrown produce. Strawberries, blueberries, peaches, cherries, walnuts, pecans, almonds, prunes and plums, tomatoes, cucumbers to name a few  are available.  I even have a winery and home made candy company seven minutes of my home. I live next door to a walnut orchard so after the harvest, I have permission to glean the orchard and gather enough walnuts to last until next year. We have two major pumpkin festivals in my neighborhood ans we have two fun weekends for the entire county to enjoy.   So this truck full of pumpkins is something I will be seeing from now until Halloween.

I started with a Chepo truck and filled it with some IO pumpkins.  The tree is another IO die that actually comes with a bride and groom and another tree. I just used part of the die cut from kraft card stock.  I added a little orange to the leaves. A few IO clouds and birds and a frame finished my card.

  1. What you have described in your post about your neighborhood sounds fantastic. I want to come and visit in the fall. So I can see how your creative scene came to be. I love the thought of the truck loads of pumpkins every where until Halloween. I really like the tree peeking out from the frame and not glued down. I so enjoyed this post.

  3. Oh wow, you are so stinkin' lucky to live in a place that provides so much produce. How fun to collect walnuts, I have NO idea what that's like. Here in Michigan apples are the thing. Your card is so cute, and I love the way your tree is hanging outside the frame. Really gives dimension and makes the whole card pop. GENIUS!!!!

  4. What a wonderful little scene you built with all the dies. In our area we have a few places that sell pumpkins and apples. We also have a little winery a few miles from us. But not as abundant as it sounds like you have. It sounds wonderful!

  6. Oh, gosh, I want to come to where you live. Such bounty! We do have a cranberry festival and a salmon festival/derby and, of course, the blackberries and blueberries. Lots of apples. Come to think of it, there's a bounty of deliciousness here, too! This card is so cute and rich with fall splendor. I love how you used the tree. Easy enough to cut the couple out. It's a great die to have. Your combo looks fantastic, Kathy!
