Double D Monochromatic

This time we have a monochromatic color scheme at Double D Challenge Blog.  The mood board offers lots of options and the team's inspiration at Double D Challenge Blog  will give you lots of ideas.

I chose a greenish  blue color and used shades of it on my card.  I started with a blue card base.  to that I layered IO large frame that I backed with a very old chevron cover plate from MFT.  I put a sheet of vellum behind the cover plate witch creates a muted version of the blue. I love this Honey Cuts lovely layers cone flower die.  I made several in different colors. The butterfly is from Memory Box.

We hope you join us for this monochromatic challenge at Double D Challenge Blog.  You will have a chance to win  this beautiful paper.

  4. Absolutely stunning, Kathy! This is my favorite. I love the color and dimension. Adding the vellum is such a creative way to make a color more subtle. I will have to remember that. And, once again, your flowers rock!

  6. This cone flower die is great in so many colors and you made it in blue. The entire card is so striking and beautiful in the monocromatic colors that you used. I lve how you frame your cards and give them that bold look. Yesterday was a travel day, we are back in WI now.
