The challenge at IO is to use fall colors. I need a card for a guy so made this. I started with PTI canyon clay card stock and embossed it with my score board to make a place for the sentiment and embossed the top and bottom of the piece and sponged some walnut distress ink on top. I cut the IO wheat in different colors and tied with a piece of string. The I stamped the IO sentiment and cut the thoughts from smoky grey card stock.
I will enter this in the IO Falling for You Challenge

This card made me smile! Loving the texture and how this looks really masculine. I really like, how, you die cut part of the sentiment and stamped the rest in a special place. We will be home soon, in Prague now for a few days.
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous. I love how you did the texture on the background, and then simply the wheat as the focal. Elegant, masculine and simple. Wonderful design, this is getting pinned.

ReplyDeleteI love these simple, earthy masculine cards as much as I love the flowery, feminine things. Anything nature is beautiful to me, and I have a particular fondness for warm colors. This just feels good to look at!
ReplyDeleteSimple design but just perfect for the male in your life. Fabulous colour combinations and that embossed background is great. The different coloured wheat just makes this card.
