The challenge at Impression Obsession this time is Stamp a Background. I have several of their cover a card stamps so I decided to make a few backgrounds and turn them into cards. One of my favorite CAC patterns is the wood grain plank. I made several backgrounds with different papers. Some I liked and some not as much. I used one of my favorites on this card.
This is dark brown card stock that I stamped with versa mark and embossed with black embossing powder. The end result reminded me of a door so I thought it needed a wreath. I used two circle dies to get a wreath. I used three of these glued together to get dimension and stability. I started at one place on the wreath and covered the entire wreath with segments of leafy branches. I cut the cute IO birds in blue shaded them a bit and then gave them yellow beaks and used a marker to make the eyes. I cut the IO flowers in blues and yellows and filled the wreath. I felt like it needed something in the center so why not a bird house.
I used these Impression Obsession dies and stamps.
